A Firebrand Training
5
Day Course
Windows Vista is dubbed as Microsoft's most compelling operating system release in over a decade. Windows Vista offers substantial new capabilities in security, performance, reliability, and manageability. It is also the first operating system released with the .NET Framework 3.0 in mind, and the first client operating system to include the .NET Framework 3.0 as a part of its own installation.
Our 5 day accelerated MCTS Vista - MCP Windows Server 2003 Firebrand Training provides information technology professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to install, configure, support, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows 2003 based networks with a focus on the latest Vista operating system. This is an accelerated, residential, fully-immersed course, designed for IT professionals that require effective, real-world skill-building and timely certification. You will live, learn, and test on-site.
For IT managers, certification is particularly important because it allows them to more easily identify the skills that an individual possesses. When a company has employees that possess certain skills, it can garner a competitive advantage when seeking to attract customers. Certification can also contribute to increased productivity, because studies have shown that certified individuals are generally quicker to implement and design new technologies. And of course by knowing that their employees are certified, IT managers can feel more confident about their ability to implement and support a network infrastructure.
Looking at security in particular, recent surveys from CompTIA and others show that human error, rather than technical malfunction, is the most significant cause of IT security breaches in both the public and private sectors. When asked, an overwhelming majority of companies agree that employee training and certification programs improve network security and help protect against cyber threats. In fact, most companies identify a lack of IT security knowledge and training, or failure to follow security procedures, as the root causes of many of their security issues.
Also, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, in its National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace, has said that the two major barriers to improving cyber-security are a lack of familiarity, knowledge and understanding of security issues, and an inability to find sufficient numbers of adequately trained or appropriately certified personnel to create and manage secure systems. So there are real benefits in organizations ensuring that their IT professionals have the right skills to reduce the effects of human error on information security.
Demonstrate Value to Enterprise Security. The CompTIA Security+ Certification provides a way for individuals to highlight their focus on security in the enterprise and demonstrate their ability to create a secure computing environment.
Other accelerated training providers rely heavily on lecture and independent self-testing and study.
Effective technical instruction must be highly varied and interactive to keep attention levels high, promote camaraderie and teamwork between the students and instructor, and solidify knowledge through hands-on learning.
This information has been provided as a helpful tool for candidates considering certification. Benefits of certification determined through studies do not guarantee any particular personal successes. Firebrand Training provides a guarantee of obtaining certification at the camp, but does not make any guarantees about personal successes or benefits of obtaining certification.
Firebrand Training's MCTS Vista - MCP Windows Server 2003 Accelerated Certification Program is the most effective, efficient way to learn how to successfully design, plan, and implement a network infrastructure, Active Directory infrastructure, and client deployment on the Windows Server 2003 platform.
Students attending this blended-learning program will receive a robust set of course materials that caters to each of the three primary individual learning-intake styles (auditory, visual, and kinaesthetic-tactual) - critical for a successful accelerated learning experience.
Daily lectures, labs, and review sessions are supplemented by a combination of:
The MCTS Vista - MCP Windows Server 2003 Program prepares students to achieve the MCTS Vista - MCP Windows Server 2003 certifications during the program
Microsoft Certified Professionals for Vista (MCP) candidates on the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 track are required to satisfy the following requirements:
Firebrand Training offers top-quality technical education and certification training in an all-inclusive course package specifically designed for the needs and ease of our students. We attend to every detail so our students can focus solely on their studies and certification goals.
Our instructors teach to accommodate every student's learning needs through individualised instruction, hands-on labs, lab partner and group exercises, independent study, self-testing, and question/answer drills.
Firebrand Training has dedicated, well-equipped educational facilities where you will attend instruction and labs and have access to comfortable study and lounging rooms. Our students consistently say our facilities are second-to-none.
Should a student complete a Firebrand Training Program without having successfully passed all vendor examinations, the student may re-attend that program for a period of one year. Students will only be responsible for accommodations and vendor exam fees.
Students that are successful in the MCTS Vista - MCP Windows Server 2003 Accelerated Certification Program should possess a minimum of one year of networking experience supporting a Windows NT/2000/2003/XP network.
Firebrand Training staff interview all potential students regarding their technical background, degrees and certifications held, and personal fortitude. This screening process ensures a successful match between the customer and Firebrand Training toward accelerated training and certification.
Firebrand Training is an aggressive training environment. You must have an attitude aimed for success. The above prerequisites are guidelines, but many students with less experience have other background or traits that have enabled their success in accelerated training through Firebrand Training.
"Having never attended a Firebrand* course before I found the experience very intense but very rewarding. Not only from meeting a variety of people from various backgrounds and industries, together with an extremely knowledgeable and experienced instructor.
.
One thing I would strongly recommend is you do plenty of pre-course reading prior to the course together with any real world experience you can gain which can be applied to the course you are attending. I would not recommend you attend one of these courses without any prior knowledge or doing the pre-reading.

"For My first Microsoft exam i found Firebrand* to be the ideal place to start.
The course was well written and focused and brought out all the key factors that were required, the staff are second to none in their technical skills and hospitality, the surrounds (at Heythrop Park) are calm and peacful which aids in the learning process by not being destracted. All in all i found i could not be better prepared for my exams, which i did pass thanks to the great teaching. I would not hesitate to recomend Firebrand* to any IT professional looking to gain new or more qualifications."

I never thought I would enjoy cramming this hard and have utmost respect for anyone who can talk lucidly on one subject for so long.

"I believe that this is a excellent training centre and the teachers are very well versed with the subject area. In order to be a successful student you must put the hours in, do the excersies and lab work and ask questions! If you do this you cannot fail! The old moto of "You get out what you put in" rings home here!"

"The staff were fantastic and made you feel welcome. The instructor delivered the course in a very professional manner and answered any queries anyone had. The course itself was hard work but if you are willing to put in the effort you will benefit from this immensely. I have found the knowledge I've gained to be invaluable in my job.
My advice, if you are thinking about it, stop thinking and just do it. It will be the best thing you can do for your career."
