Cisco CCNA Voice Certification - Overview

The Cisco CCNA Voice course is designed to provide staff with a foundation in voice applications and infrastructure concepts. Through a combination of classroom lecture and practical exercises students will be able to develop skills in installation, operating and maintenance of Cisco Voice solutions. The CCNA Voice certification validates the skills acquired and is a required step towards the CCVP (Cisco Certified Voice Professional) qualification.

The primary objective is for delegates to obtain a working knowledge of voice principles and practices including:
Understanding the components in Cisco’s Unified Communications architecture
Knowledge of PSTN components and technologies
Components of Voice over IP solutions
Configuring Cisco networks to support VoIP

This course prepares students for the Cisco 640-460 Implementing Cisco IOS Unified Communications certification exam. Successful completion of the exam results in the CCNA Voice certification.

Examination Passing Policy

Should a student complete a Firebrand Training Program without having successfully passed all vendor examinations, the student may re-attend that program for a period of one year. Students will only be responsible for accommodations and vendor exam fees.

Cisco CCNA Voice Certification - Prerequisites

A valid CCNA certification is required prior to attending this course.

Firebrand Training staff interview all potential students regarding their technical background, degrees and certifications held, and personal fortitude. This screening process ensures a successful match between the customer and Firebrand Training toward accelerated training and certification.

Firebrand Training is an aggressive training environment. You must have an attitude aimed for success. The above prerequisites are guidelines, but many students with less experience have other background or traits that have enabled their success in accelerated training through Firebrand Training.
